Melbourne Punters Cricket Club started in 2023, put together by a group of international students who wanted a side of their own. Three seasons on, there are 35+ active players on the books — 90% of them under 25.
The club exists as a platform to connect, socialise and stay healthy through cricket. It is inclusive, welcoming and fun-first, and it is open to all ages and abilities. Nobody gets turned away for being new to the game.
The cricket itself is hard tennis ball, mostly ten overs a side, played across Melbourne's tournament circuit — the Karnataka Premier League, the Rockers Rajyotsava, and standalone fixtures whenever we can get them.

Seventeen wins, thirty-five losses and one tie. An honest record for a club three seasons old — and the last two tournaments both ended in a semi-final.
